Round steak is on sale this week at Fareway, so I thought I'd share a super yummy, super easy recipe. Round steaks are about 1/2 inch thick and fit almost perfectly in a 9' X 13" pan and can have a little round bone or not, either one would work for this recipe.
oven Swiss steak
1 round steak
1 cup catsup
1/4 cup flour
dried, minced onion
place 2 pieces of aluminum foil in the bottom of a 9" X 13" pan with lots of overlap, you're going to wrap the whole thing up in this eventually. The aluminum foil is crucial to this recipe, my husband tried to make it once without and it was a yucky, dried up mess! Mix together catsup and flour, Spread half in the aluminum foil. Place round steak on top. Spread remaining catsup mixture on top of round steak and sprinkle with onion. Wrap the whole thing tightly and bake at 350* for 1 hour.
